Step over Madonna, Beyonce is coming. Never in my life did I think anything could top last years Super Bowl Half Time Show --however I never thought the Black Eyed Peas would be that bad--- until diva super star Beyonce was announced as the ring leader. Exited? Yes. Intrigued? Yes. Surprised? A little.
Previous to Madonna, the Super Bowl show has been, well, boring as shit. Tom Petty? Bruce Springsteen? The Who? All great bands, but not great performers (in the spectacle sense). You have to have style, substances and do more than just stand there banging your guitar with some plain old lights. Really what I'm saying is you have to be a pop star. And after the RIDICULOUS ratings the half time show received, more than the Super Bowl itself, it comes as no surprise another pop star was picked. It seems like the tide has slowly gone back in the right direction ever since the Janet Jackson's nipple gate.
Guests? You bet. Off the top of my head any surprise performers will inevitably be AMAZING!! Hubby Jay-Z? His best friend Kanye? There basically little sister Rihanna? Jay & B's BFF's Coldplay and Gwyneth? Former girl group Destiny's Child? I mean really, it could be anyone. And if I know Beyonce, she will try her best to top last years cirque de Madonna because she knows how to put a ring on it.
